Feet Bocce

Teams of 2 vs. 2, each player gets a bean bag (matching colors for teams) . Alternating  throughout the game each player takes turns throwing the “target” bean bag. All players attempt to get their bean bag using their feet as close as they can to the target. Team who had the bean bag closest to the target gets a point.

Asteroids

Two teams playing against each other, split on each side of the gym and cannot cross the center line, set a goal line for the exercise ball to cross. The players throw bean bags to the exercise ball to try to get it across the opposing teams goal line. The ball cannot be intentionally blocked with the body, hit, or kicked.

Skyscrapers

A dodgeball style game. Four teams separated into four corners. In the far corner of each team’s area is a mat standing upright (the skyscraper). Each team throws dodgeballs trying to knock down the opposing teams skyscraper. Each team gets three lives for their skyscraper. When the skyscraper is knocked down for the third time, the team disperses into the other teams.

Dodgeball aspect:

While trying to knock down the skyscapers there is also a dodgeball game going on. When a player is hit they must run to the opposing wall before they can return to game play.

Swamp Ball

A dodgeball game. Two teams on opposing halves of the gym. Line up balls on center line. When a player is hit, or someone catches the ball they threw, they must go to a designated swamp area on the other half of the court. When in the swamp, you must keep one body part in at all times. You can throw balls to tag out another player. You can return to your side of the court if you catch a ball from your teammate.

Seated Volleyball

Teams of 2 playing against one another with a pylon line as the “net”. Players must keep their bum on the ground and bump, set, and spike the ball across the pylon line. Encourage students to get three passes before passing it to the opponents. 

Spike Ball

Team of 2 playing against one another using a spike ball net ( tchoukball net works as well). Students try to gain points by making their opponents miss the ball, the ball must bounce on the net to be passed over to opponents. Teammates can hit the ball three times before sending it to opponents and switching possession.
